Wayne Huggins

I’m Wayne Huggins, son of Dwight and the late Faye Huggins. My parents were part owners of Huggins Dairy where I was raised and worked during my younger years. My family has been part of the Irwin EMC family for over 65 years, and our family home was featured in a magazine as the first all electric home in Ben Hill County powered by Irwin EMC/REA. I currently reside beside the family home in Ben Hill County.

I am retired from UPS after 40 years of delivering packages to Irwin, Ben Hill, and surrounding counties. I also owned a business in Fitzgerald for 28 years and recently sold it to enjoy more free time.

I am the proud father of two daughters, both UGA graduates, GO DAWGS! My daughters are married and I have three beautiful grandchildren.  

Darline and I enjoy traveling in our motorhome or going on cruises. If we are not traveling, I am helping my dad around the farm or keeping an eye on the youngest grand baby!

After working with the public and owning a business, I feel I have a good understanding of the needs of the costumers and the employees. Seeing that the coop provides quality services at a fair price by qualified and happy employees will be my goal!
