Objectives of Conference:

  • To provide an opportunity for young couples to gain additional knowledge and insight in the economic and service opportunities afforded by their cooperatives.

  • To provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences in leadership needs in their cooperatives and in their communities.

  • To provide an opportunity to make new friends.

  • To find out what young couples are thinking so cooperatives can better serve their needs. The ultimate purpose is to strengthen the relationship between cooperatives and participating couples.

Cooperatives attending the Conference:

Attending the conference will be representatives of the Electric Membership Cooperatives, Staplcotn Cooperative, Southern States Cooperative, Gold Kist, Inc., The Farm Credit Banks, Dairy Farmers of America, Maryland/Virginia Milk Producers, Rural Telephone Cooperatives, and other marketing and supply cooperatives.

One of the highlights of the conference will be the opportunity to sit down, in small groups, and talk with “Cooperative Decision Makers”.

The expenses of the conference will be borne by the Georgia Cooperative Council and Irwin EMC.
